How to convert videos using VLC player

Converting videos are the mostly practiced things done today. Professionals use high end software's to do so. But what about the people who are beginners and have no idea about doing so. These days videos are converted to run on portable devices like Mobile Phones, Pod's, Mp3 Players and many more. There are tonnes of software's that can convert videos, some are freeware's whereas some are paid. To day i am going to show you the way to convert your videos from the software that most of us run to watch videos on a majority. But few only knew that it can also convert your videos for free on no extra cost and those who really didn't knew about this. Check the article out.

Video Lan or commonly know as VLC Media Player is the one which can convert your videos for free. Let us see how ?

Steps 1. Click on your VLC Player icon and open the application.

Step 2. Click on Media and select Convert / Save (Ctrl+R ) option.

Step 3.A new pop up windows will appear. Now under Files Tab click on Add and browse the file that you would like to convert.

Here you can also add subtitles to your video. Click on Use a Subtitle file and browse the file for subtitles that have to be added while converting the file. Now select the Font Size and Text Alignment as per your requirements. 

Step 4. Click on Convert/Save.

Step 5. A new popup windows will appear where you have to set the Destination Path and Profile (Conversion Format) for your video.

Step 6. Click On Start.The conversion will begin.

Step 7. After the conversion is done you can find the converted file at the destination path you provided earlier.
